Summer Concerts
Looking for fun events this summer for the whole family to enjoy? The Union Township Board of Trustees presents the Union Township Summer Concert Series. All concerts occur on Saturdays and are free to the public. The summer concerts are held in the amphitheater at the Union Township Civic Center.
Bring your family, friends, snacks and lawn chairs and let yourself be entertained. See concert times on the community calendar, as they vary.
Family Movie Nights
Starting in Summer 2023, we are putting on a number of Family Movie Nights in the Park. All movies will be on Saturdays and are free to the public. The movies will be held after sunset in our parks. Be sure to check the community calendar to note the times and locations for each movie night. Bring your family, friends, snacks and lawn chairs to enjoy great movies outside.
Sporting Events
Also starting in 2023, we will be hosting a few sporting events around the township. In May, we head to Clepper Park to have our Family Catch and Release Fishing Tournament at the pond. In July, we will be hosting a Pickleball Tournament at Veteran's Park. Come out and enjoy a little friendly competition with your neighbors, friends and family!
End Of Summer Extravaganza
Both Crossroads Eastside and Jungle Jim's International Market join the Union Township Board of Trustees in hosting the famous Rozzi Fireworks show.
Jungle Jim's neighbors are also participating in the celebration, with food, booths, and additional activities.
This event is not to be missed! Crossroads East Side, Jungle Jim's, and the Union Township Board of Trustees have put together a true extravaganza of fun for families and the community to enjoy as a celebration of the end of summer.
Plan to bring the kids for an exciting day of fun, games, food and entertainment!
Police Night Out
Held Every year at Veteran's Memorial Park, located at Glen Este-Withamsville Road and Clough Pike.
Police Night Out is designed to heighten crime and prevention awareness; generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts; strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. Union Township police officers will be on hand to answer any questions you have.
There will be plenty of fun activities and games for the whole family, including the Dunkin' Booth, the Inflatable Bouncer, the Fire Safety Trailer, and much more. If available, UC Health Air Care and Mobile Care will fly in to deposit McGruff, the Crime Dog, for his annual visit.
Show your support for this community effort and have a fun evening with the family while doing it.
Mt. Moriah Cemetery Lantern Lighting Ceremony
The Union Township Board of Trustees and Mt. Moriah Cemetery are excited to sponsor this free event which promises to be a unique evening of beauty and remembrance for the entire community. You can prepare your personalized lantern by inscribing your own words of love and remembrance. All supplies will be provided. You may wish to personalize your lantern by bringing pictures of your loved ones. Following a complimentary dinner, we will gather at the shoreline to share a simple but beautiful ceremony. The candles are lit and the lanterns are set upon the water to carry their messages.
