The “BZA” hears requests to slightly bend the requirements on residential, and sometimes commercial, properties for projects that would otherwise be permissible (variances). They also hear requests for approval of uses that are of a slightly more intense nature than permitted under the law for that district (conditional use).
The purpose of the Zoning Commission is to hear requests and testimony regarding a change in the zoning designation of specific property or regarding text amendments to the Union Township Zoning Resolution, in order to make recommendations to the Board of Trustees for final consideration.
The Parks and Recreation Committee works diligently to help guide the development of our park assets as well as sponsor programming to encourage the use of our outdoor facilities.
